Atlantic Canada’s biggest and best sport compact drag racing event will soon be here! Get ready for RaceEast Sport Compact weekend. If you are anywhere on the East coast of Canada, this is one event you don’t want to miss. Fortunately due to previous weather, the event has been rescheduled giving everyone more time (and less of an excuse) to get those cars done and out for this showdown. Teknotik is proud to be a sponsor of the event this year for 2017 alongside many of the east coasts most well known names. The RaceEast crew has been working hard and is ready to show what the east coast has to offer. Spectators can expect a great event and many local legends!

Miramichi Dragway is constantly improving with installation of a new starting 660′ and LED lighting along the track last year. Last year we saw the old maritime sport compact 1/4 mile record beaten by three separate racers at this event. Kendall Bentley is the current record holder at 9.51. There will be at least 2 racers looking to hit 8’s at this event.

Get ready to take your car down the 1320 and hopefully hit some personal bests. This all goes down on the new rain date of September 15th to 17th. As always, free camping available on site. From Pro to beginner its a great place to go and test your car out. All racers welcome!

Here is a few highlights of drivers that we work with at Teknotik that you should keep you eyes open for at the event!

Nova Scotia native Scott Leslie with his brand new shop has his sponsored RSX ready for the rollers and tuning on his brand new dyno. Keep your eyes open for this turbocharged monster.

Also from Nova Scotia one driver we have been working with for several years is Melford Leary. Although hes faced some setbacks in his setup in a mad dash to get it done for the original race date, he wont be stopped this time this is one racer not willing to give up!

Check out that work of art header!

In 2017 we started a sponsorship partnership with Daniel Veinot. Honda mechanic by day, drag racer by night Daniel has years and years of Honda experience and building under his belt. We are lucky to be working with a seasoned veteran like Dan. The off season brought some big changes to Dan’s car and hes looking for them all to come together for the event. You wont see this plain back end anymore as hes packing a parachute now installed!

Dan has a personal best of 9.65 @ 156 but hopes to better that this year in his quest for 8’s.

We sent Dan out some new M&H slicks and Drive Shaft Shop 3.9s to help hook all that power up and increase axle reliability with his increased power.

Feels good when you car is back on all 4’s!

All new for this year Dan has redone much of his piping and done some aggressive porting work to the head. His Benson sleeved bottom end is ready for more power!

Kraftwerks powered Stefan Verner in his 8th gen Kraftwerks supercharged Si has added an AEM Water meth kit for 2017 in effort to trim his slip time down. All he needs is some good weather to make that happen!

Nick Spencer from Nova Scotia is always the type of guy you will see making changes and working to improve his 9th gen in his quest to go faster.

Nick is not afraid to try new things as he works to make his NA K Street series even faster with the many bolt-ons hes running under his hood.

He’s ready with slicks for maximum traction to get this sedan down the strip as fast as he can. Best of luck Nick. We know you have been practicing 🙂 !
